Eat the Reich

Eat the Reich RPG · Eat the Reich Roleplaying Game

Eat the Reich

Eat the Reich is a standalone, rules-light tabletop story about bloodthirsty infiltrators striking at the heart of occupied Europe. It blends pulp action, covert ops, and dark humour into a tight, movie-like mission. You choose a monstrous operative, pick a target, and watch plans collide with chaos as the night turns in your favour, or not. Players love how quickly it hits high gear, how it rewards bold ideas, and how every obstacle begs for a stylish bite, a reckless stunt, or a well-timed quip.

A professional Game Master keeps the pace brisk, frames cinematic shots, and tunes the tone from grindhouse absurdity to tense thriller. It is great for first-time players and veterans who want a focused, memorable one-shot. Ideal for adult birthdays, after-work groups, or convention slots. Intense themes are handled with clear safety tools. Ready to book? Browse our Game Masters and pick the style that fits your group.

How to play Eat the Reich

On your turn, you say what you do. The Game Master explains the risk and what success might look like. You roll a handful of six-sided dice to see how they land, with higher results meaning cleaner wins. Good positioning, gear, or teamwork can improve your odds. Complications do not stall the story; they raise alarms, start chases, and add tough choices. The rules stay light so the table can focus on bold moves, punchy narration, and keeping the mission clock ticking.

What do you need? A character concept, a couple of lines of backstory, and a taste for over-the-top action. Share any content boundaries up front. The professional Game Master handles the rest, from pregenerated operatives and mission briefs to maps, tokens, and safety tools. Playing online is easy with video chat and shared dice rollers. See options on online play platforms.

One-shots are the default, a complete raid in about two to three hours with a clear objective and a bloody payoff. If your group wants more, you can chain operations into a short arc, letting relationships deepen and consequences carry forward. The tone can stay outrageous or swing darker between missions, depending on what your table enjoys.

Common questions

Do we need to learn the rules first?

There's no need to read anything beforehand. A professional Game Master will explain the rules as you play through the opening scene. You'll roll small pools of six-sided dice to determine the success of your daring moves, with higher results helping to resolve complications. The emphasis is on describing bold actions rather than consulting charts. Expect a quick start, a few examples, and then rapid turns. If you wish, the GM can provide a one-page cheat sheet before the game, but this is optional.

What group size and session length are most effective?

Eat the Reich accommodates 3 to 4 players, but can support between 2 and 5. With two players, you'll experience a tight commando vibe. With five, anticipate louder set pieces and more cross-talk, which the GM manages. A complete mission takes about two to three hours, including a short break and safety check-ins. The pacing is quick, ensuring everyone gets their moment in the spotlight. If your team prefers more time for banter or infiltration, the GM can extend the session towards the upper end of that timeframe.

How is this different from D&D?

This game is designed for a single covert operation, not an extended dungeon crawl. There are no long rests, spell slots, or grids to manage. You take on the role of stylish vampire commandos, relying on cinematic stunts while keeping bookkeeping minimal. Failures escalate the situation instead of halting the action, ensuring the story keeps progressing. Combat blends stealth with explosive moments, typically resolved in just a few rolls. It satisfies the craving for bold play and witty pulp war stories, without the commitment of a full campaign.

How grim or gruesome is it, and can you adjust it?

Content includes World War II Nazis, blood, and violent vampiric powers. The tone is adjustable. Your GM will establish lines and veils with you and can shift from grindhouse comedy to serious thriller, or anywhere in between. We check in during play and keep safety tools at hand, so you control what is shown on screen. If tone is important to you, exploring different GM approaches can help you align with your group’s preferences. See examples of GM styles on GM playstyles.

Do we create characters or use pregenerated operatives?

Both options are available. For a quick start, the GM can provide pregenerated vampire commandos with unique powers and hooks. If your group enjoys customisation, you can create operatives together in a brief, guided process at the beginning of the session. Either way, you only need a character concept and the vibe you want to play. To find out which GMs offer pregens or prefer collaborative builds, check their profiles when you book on our Game Masters.

Is it a one-shot, or can we carry on across missions?

It shines as a focused one-shot heist. If you're having fun, your GM can connect operations into a short arc. Consequences from one raid influence the next, targets escalate, and relationships between operatives develop. Each chapter remains tight and punchy, ensuring the story stays high-energy rather than sprawling. The tone can remain outrageous or shift darker between outings, depending on what your group enjoys. Expect a satisfying payoff each time, with threads you can revisit later.

What players are saying

  • First of all, I want to say that Sebastian was really great as a DM. For his first run as a booked DM, he did a fantastic job. The 3 stars refer to the following: 1. We were disappointed that the adventure was labelled a One Shot yet wasn't a complete story. Discovering that there are two more parts wasn't very positive for us, as it meant there was no satisfying conclusion to the story. 2. As new players, it was difficult for us to understand the English character sheets in such a short time. In German, it would have been much easier. Even receiving the character sheets a few days in advance would have been helpful for preparation. 3. More guidance would be beneficial. Especially for beginners, a more linear one shot would have been preferable. We wasted a large portion of the adventure time doing unnecessary things because we didn't really know how the game worked. Overall, I think the StoryForgers concept is really good and I see a lot of potential in it, especially for introducing new players to D&D. I hope you don't take my feedback the wrong way but as honest criticism. Cheers, Mario

  • Bryan was exceptional. We had a group with varied experience levels, and he managed to keep everyone engaged and involved. His positive attitude made the game enjoyable for all. I really appreciated how he could clearly explain what was needed for our less experienced players while keeping our more seasoned players on their toes with his extensive knowledge of the game. Everyone in our party had a fantastic time thanks to Bryan.

    Jeremy

  • Dayron was fantastic. Well-prepared, punctual, and had a brilliant sense of humour.

    Corey

  • Dayron was fantastic; he provided an excellent experience. Thanks!

    The Merry Meeple

  • The game was incredibly engaging. I organised a session as a gift for my boyfriend, who is really passionate about it, and he was very pleased and appreciated Leonardo's professionalism. I don't have much experience with DnD, but I found the game to be quite straightforward and enjoyable.

    Marina

  • Baptiste was a fantastic GM who adapted seamlessly to our group and helped us make great progress in this one-shot. However, there was one issue with the character sheets provided; they were not complete or clear. Some of the French translations were quite rough. For instance, our cleric was missing spells, including a healing spell, even though they were meant to have some.

    Pierre

  • Rachel was fantastic; my daughter and her friends left their game saying it was the most fun they’d ever had, and my daughter wanted to sign up for another game with her straight away. She was friendly, and her approach let the players immerse themselves in the game by giving them control over how they wanted their actions to unfold. I would definitely work with her again.

    John

  • A great first experience with D&D. Amber was excellent at explaining and guiding the game, allowing us as players to quickly get into the flow and focus on the story. Collaborating on attack strategies with my colleagues was a fun activity that provided valuable insights into each other's characters, thought processes, and differences. Overall, I found it to be a very enjoyable session.

  • Pim is truly a legend as a DM! He's cheerful, adaptable, and incredibly experienced. With a group of novice players, he managed to create an amazing experience in just a few hours. He maintained control in a fun manner and engaged every player in the story, whether they were vocal or reserved. If you go adventuring with him, it will certainly be unforgettable!
