I am Sir Alex of Forsyth and yes, I have definitely been knighted (but like, don’t look into it).

I’ve been playing Dungeons & Dragons for over a decade, starting all the way back in high school when I taught myself and my friends how to play. Since then, I’ve helped many groups get their start in D&D and love to assist beginners in finding their footing.

I’ve also run numerous long-form campaigns for a few different groups, and have the experience to not only DM for more experienced players but also adapt and customise the game to your preferences.

By day, I am a professional actor with a background in performance for camera and voice, so you better be ready for quirky NPCs with funny voices and outrageous over-the-top evil villain monologues.

If all that sounds like your cup of tea, then I’d love to create a story just for you! Thanks for reading about me, and I hope we can have a great adventure together!

How I conduct games

I particularly enjoy Theatre of the Mind games, occasionally using a battle map for visual support. I've facilitated a variety of sessions, ranging from combat-light, roleplay-heavy campaigns to high-lethality one-shots featuring tactical combat. I've also run some very loose, improv-heavy stories that allow players the freedom to create chaos. I can conduct sessions both in person and online, and I'm more than willing to learn new systems at the players' request. I really appreciate the Rule of Cool.

Game systems I facilitate

  • Dungeons & Dragons

    • High Fantasy +7
    • 1 – 7 players
    • Moderate rules

Craft your own fantasy story with Dungeons & Dragons. Assemble a group of brave heroes, outsmart traps, negotiate with dragons, and seize treasure in vibrant worlds. Imagine the camaraderie of The Lord of the Rings, but you decide the paths, the battles, and the conclusion.

Learn more about me

The NPC my players just won't part with…

was a Drow named Thrazz who was meant to be a caravan guard providing some background information, but ended up travelling into the future, becoming a God of Time, and preventing the apocalypse.

My proudest moment as a DM…

was when my players arrived in the Hells and were meant to be conscripted into the Blood War, but thanks to some very lucky rolls, they found themselves in the manager's office instead to lodge a complaint. What began as a joke turned into a spontaneous decision to transform our version of the Hells from fire and brimstone into a comically beige, bureaucratic, office-themed nightmare.

What I love to hear from a player is...

I have an idea! Having worked with so many new players, nothing excites me more than witnessing someone truly discover their character and seize the opportunity to join me in telling our story together.
