Community & Communications Coordinator (Remote - Part-time - Freelance)

StoryForgers connects professional Dungeon Masters with groups looking to play Dungeons & Dragons in various settings: first-time players, schools, youth organisations, libraries, companies for team-building, and special events.

Every session requires meticulous coordination. We pair Dungeon Masters with the type of group they will be playing with, ensuring that each session is a true adventure! That’s where you step in.

We’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic, TTRPG-loving Community & Communications Coordinator. Someone who can connect DMs and players, keep them happy and booked, and give our social media the attention it deserves.

Your responsibilities include:

Communication and relationships (Customers and DMs)

• Be the friendly face our customers speak to, answering their questions about D&D and their upcoming sessions.

• Match customers with the right Dungeon Master and organise their sessions.

• Maintain an overview of many moving parts so nothing falls through the cracks.

• Assist in managing our DM hiring process and onboarding.

• Be the primary contact for our Dungeon Masters' daily queries.

Social media and light marketing

• Create a consistent and engaging presence on our Instagram (and a bit on LinkedIn).

• Share the magic: sessions, DMs, and behind-the-scenes moments.

Creative writing (a nice bonus, but not essential)

• If it interests you, help create session adventures and characters.

Who we are seeking:

• Excellent written and spoken English.

• Socially skilled, professional, and interested in people.

• Organised and calm while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Some working knowledge of TTRPGs (especially D&D).

• Experience with AI tools (like ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) for correspondence and scheduling.

• Self-motivated and dependable in a remote, flexible environment.

• Experience in social media, content creation, or marketing (especially Instagram) is advantageous.

• Familiarity with Adobe tools, Canva, Excel, Word, and similar software is a bonus.

• Creative writing experience is an added advantage :)

The practical details:

• Type: Freelance, fully remote.

• Hours: Approximately 2 days per week, up to 70 hours per month.

• Compensation: $1,500 per month for up to 70 hours (ex GST).

What we provide:

• Independence, fully remote, flexible hours.

• You'll build genuine relationships with some of the best Dungeon Masters around.

• Opportunities for personal and professional development.

• You’ll get to play D&D as part of the job.

• Chance to express yourself and test out your ideas.

• Develop your skills as a Dungeon Master if you are one!
